Its true - Men really don't have it easy...

A man on a Harley is riding along California beach when the sky clouded above and, in a booming voice, the Lord said, 'Because you have tried to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish.'

The biker pulled over and said, 'Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride over anytime I want.'

The Lord said, 'Your request is materialistic, think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking; the supports required reaching the bottom of the Pacific and the concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and think of something that could possibly help mankind.' '

The biker thought about it for a long time.

Finally, he said, 'Lord, I wish that I and all men could understand women; I want to know how she feels inside, what she's thinking when she gives me the silent treatment, why she cries, what she means when she says nothing's wrong, why she snaps and complains when I try to help, and how I can make a woman truly happy.'

God replied, 'That bridge? Two lanes or four?'

Plagiarism I thought....then you credit me at the end so I will call the copyright lawyers off.
And as for understanding....hmmm...getting to even a half understanding (of Half anyway...) remains a mere aspiration I feel...wwwaaaahhhh...

Its funny that understanding to some is a one way route to hawaii.

And yes maybe we have to be God to understand women. A rather tall order ?

Its easier for those who have no intrisic understanding of a personal relationship to pass deep and meaningful judgements on the abilities of others albeit a request to be god like lol.

What is perhaps more important is a willingness to understand EACH other or at least an attempt to. And not to be perpetually the one who is having to be "god like"

The question being do women understand men ? Do they feel the need to like we are expected to ?

Treat a man like he is man and you will see the man you want. Treat him like a doormat and you wont its simple

Gap in the argument seems to be:

** Man wants to be treated like a doormat.

** Lady is happy with that and has the man she wants.

Not all men want to be big swinging dick types, nor is that the only desire of women. Variety and all that.

I agree banj not all men are big swinging dick types (though knowing exactly what that means isnt easy)

I do beleive though that the disscusson of not understanding women is purely coming from men who are :the big swinging dick type" I maen think about it. Its put across as irrational behaviour.

""I want to know how she feels inside, what she's thinking when she gives me the silent treatment, why she cries, what she means when she says nothing's wrong, why she snaps and complains when I try to help""

Men to (the types who are not the big dick swinging ones) can have moments of fragilty, snappiness or quiteness. I would suggest even they do as well

What is interesting and a sign of how complete male control can sometimes be is when you see a woman affirming this male idea about women on themselves.

infact its how power relationships work in general regarding any issue
your made to believe in what is being said to you so its a given e.g that all women are impossible to understand ?

Who would want to describe themslves (realistically) as being IMPOSSIBLE to understand ?? Only men who wish to swing their dicks !

Gonna have to get back to you on this....when I have tried to think this through...

Here is one thought to be going on with.
Who "understands" anyone? What goes on inside a brain? Would we want to really know? Life is bearable partly because of a steady flow of white lies. Truly understanding someone would, I believe, be painful. Whereas trying to understand someone a bit more in the real world is a fun entertainment and challenge.

All this boils down to one thing...

Respect each others differences. Just grand each other their personality and their flaws. We all have them, we need to learn to live with them. We can adjust a little, but we cant change. Respect the person you are with and try to not make a huge problem when things sometimes don't go your way. Cos the next time it will be vice versa, then the other one wont have it his or her way. That's where love steps in... Love eases the pains and it helps you to be at ease with life's lil flaws...

Just respect each other for who they are and accept each other. Accept all are different and see that as richness not poverty.
